Customer Success and Growth Manager

Shelfmark seeks a full-time customer success and growth manager to be the engine for customer account identification, satisfaction, and growth at our growing manufacturing AI technology startup. Responsibilities include:
•Deliver customer satisfaction and success for existing Shelfmark customers. Be a trusted advisor to customer executives, and a trusted friend to front line customer operators. Ensure satisfaction with Shelfmark product to drive account expansion.
•Serve as the point of contact for Shelfmark customers as they implement Shelfmark for the first time. Coordinate project implementation, delivery, and early maintenance and testing.
•When not on customer site, drive top of funnel lead identification of future Shelfmark customers. Perform cold outreach tasks, attend conferences, and methodically drive top of funnel conversion.
•Interface with the Shelfmark product and engineering teams to be the ‘voice of customer’ to ensure that the products we build meet the customer’s needs and wants.
•Support other basic operational tasks as needed to support company leadership.
•Report directly to and collaborate directly with the CEO to drive commercial outcomes for the company.
Qualifications
Background,major, or education level are not considered to qualify candidates for thisposition. Instead, candidates should possess the following skills:
•A proven track record of organized, diligent, and effective delivery of complex tasks in a complex environment.
•Strong communication skills to effortlessly build rapport with customers and team members in a gritty, unstructured manufacturing environment.
•A willingness to travel to obscure customer locations (10-20% travel, with a chance for more) and get your hands dirty alongside customers on factory floors.
•The ability to learn complex technical concepts and communicate them in a simple, effective way to non-technical stakeholders.
•Demonstrated grittiness to achieve success against the odds.
Compensation: Full-time customer success and growth manager will receive a competitive salary, in the range of $60-80,000, depending on experience and qualifications, with the opportunity to earn equity in a high-growth startup backed by Carnegie Mellon and Titletown Tech. Additionally, commission may be considered for contribution to sales outcomes.
Location: The candidate must be in Pittsburgh, PA and willing to work in-person 100% of the time, either at the office or on the customer site.
